My son and I had been looking for a dog quite sometime. I was really looking for "key points" on a dog. I knew I didn't want a puppy and was really nervous of getting an older dog. Being housebroken was a huge factor for me. With my son being an only child I really wanted a dog that would stay with him in the yard and become his friend. Fortunately, Shelly
had called me and said we have a dog who appears to be housebroken, knows commands, and is great with children. So we took a trip out to the shelter, and sure enough we fell in love with Kobe. He was very friendly with us and he wasn't shy about showing us how to play ball.
Kobe has been a perfect fit for my son and I. He doesn't chew or bark. He's relatively calm and mild mannered, but he does have his times when he is filled with spunk and sass. He loves to go for car rides, he even takes trips to Fort Recovery with me to go swimming in the ponds. Playing ball and playing with his toys in the house is another one of Kobe's favorite things to do. I also have two cats. My one cat skippy keeps to herself, but is scared of Kobe. The other cat Niles actually gets Kobe fired up sometimes and they will chase each other around the house. My favorite thing about Kobe is how good he does with children. It's nice to know I don't have anything to worry about when Kobe and my son are playing.
We are so lucky to have a dog like Kobe. I'm glad I took the time to go and see Kobe he's a great dog. Thriving and learning, and very social. We love him and our truly grateful to have him in our lives. Our house feels like a home again. Thank you to Russ and Shelly for rescuing him and caring for him.
Sincerely,
Kristi Meyer
