Dear Russ,

A lot has happened since I wrote last.  2 weeks ago I was spayed.  Everyone said it was for my own good.  It did not feel good to me.  the surgery went well, no complications.  I did develop a urinary tract infection.  The doctor said my bladder

was angry from the surgery.  Between the pain medication and the antibiotic, I felt better in just a few days.  When they did my surgery, they inserted this thing in me called a microchip.  If ever I should get lost again, all they need to do is scan me and they will know right away where I belong.  My mom walks me twice a day.  In the morning before she leaves for work, and when she comes home from work.  I am getting to know the neighbors and their dogs.  There are a lot of dogs in my neighborhood.  Hopefully some of them will want to be friends with me.  I like to go for rides too!  I sit really still in the back seat so that I don't distract my mom and dad when they are driving.  I do have some bad habits that I need to work on.  I like to play bite, and jump on people and put my paws on the counters.  Slowly but surely I will learn not to do these things.  I did catch on to the housebreaking really quickly.  Everyone was amazed at how fast I learned to do that.  Fortunately my dad is semi-retired.  The only time I have to go in the crate is when he runs errands.  Otherwise I have the run of the house.  But my mom and dad have to keep an eye on me because I do like to chew.  I will keep you posted as to how I am doing with my training to break my bad habits!'

Love,

Kaelee
