I just wanted to give you an update on Liza, the beagle mix, we adopted in December.  Her new name is Yoshi, a name picked by my kids who are big fans of the game Mario Brothers.  (Yoshi is a charecter on the game.)  You were right when you said she is a very sweet and friendly dog.  My kids love

 her and she is great with them.  She is learning the rules of the house (like no peeing on the carpet!) and trying her best to obey them.  She knows how to "sit" and "shake" already and is trying to learn how to "stay."  That one is hard for her since she if so full of energy, she cannot sit still very long!  Right now she is mostly inside our house (or in the garage when we are not home) due to the cold weather.  Once it warms up, we have an underground wire fence surrounding our property that I will be training her on.  Then she will have 3 acres of land to run on and burn up her energy.  Now she settles for playing fetch and wrestling with us inside.  We are trying to housebreak her in hopes she will be both an inside and outside dog. She was spayed last Tuesday, and did very well with it.  The vet said she is clear of heart worms and seems to be a very healthy dog.  Since she does have beagle in her, we had him put a microchip in her just in case.   

I just wanted to give you an update and tell you thanks so much for allowing us to bring her into our home.  Thanks also for the voucher to have her spayed.  It helped greatly with the expense and allowed me to have the money to put the microchip in.  I think very highly of you and what you do for these dogs.
